The short answer is that nobody can quote one yet, because Tesla has not announced a price anywhere in the world. What we can do is convert what Tesla has published, apply the import rules that are actually in force, and show you the range you are dealing with.
All conversions below use about Rs 277 per US dollar, close to the State Bank of Pakistan's customer exchange rates in early October 2026, and the UAE dirham's fixed peg of AED 3.6725 per dollar. Recalculate on the day you need a real number.

The rupee figures above are the price of the car in the United States, converted. They are not what it would cost in Pakistan. For that, you have to add shipping, insurance and Pakistan's import taxes.
How would you import a Tesla into Pakistan in 2026?
There are now three routes, and one fewer than at the start of the year.
- Commercial import. A registered importer brings the vehicle in and pays the full commercial duties.
- Gift scheme. An overseas Pakistani sends a vehicle to a family member in Pakistan.
- Transfer of Residence. An overseas Pakistani moving home brings their own vehicle.
The Personal Baggage scheme was abolished by the Ministry of Commerce through S.R.O. 61(I)/2026, dated 15 January 2026, as reported by Dawn. The same change tightened the remaining personal schemes. Reports from TechJuice and Profit describe a minimum of three years abroad with at least 850 days of cumulative stay, a longer gap between imports, the same safety and environmental standards that apply to commercial imports, and a one-year bar on transferring the vehicle. Two practical points before anyone plans a Roadster import:
- Steering side. Pakistan drives on the left. Tesla has not said whether the Roadster will be built in right-hand drive, and the import and registration rules for left-hand-drive cars should be checked with Pakistan Customs before you commit.
- New versus used. In 2028 a Roadster will be a brand-new car. The personal schemes and their conditions were written mainly with used vehicles in mind, so confirm the treatment of a new vehicle before relying on one of them.
What import taxes would apply to a Roadster in Pakistan?
The big one is the Special Excise Duty on imported electric cars, introduced by the Finance Act 2026 under S.R.O. 1072(I)/2026 and collected from 1 July 2026, as reported by ProPakistani:

A Roadster priced anywhere near Tesla's 2017 quote would sit in the 40% band. On an assessed value of $200,000, 40% alone would be $80,000, or about Rs 22 million, before customs duty, sales tax, withholding tax and any other levies set by the customs tariff for that vehicle class. Customs duty on imported EVs was cut under the government's tariff rationalisation plan, but the rate depends on the exact tariff classification.
We are not going to give you a single "landed price" figure, because it depends on the assessed value, the import route, the date and the classification, and every one of those can change before 2028. What the 2026 tax rules tell you is where the thresholds bite. Tesla's cheapest US models were priced in August to October 2026 at:

US prices are before destination and order fees, which Kelley Blue Book reported at about $2,640 per car, and before freight, other Pakistani import taxes and the importer's margin. So a Model Y in Pakistan will cost a great deal more than the rupee figure in the table, but it starts in the band that pays no Special Excise Duty. The Roadster, at any likely price, does not.

The UAE is a different case from Pakistan because Tesla sells there directly, through Tesla's UAE website and showrooms. When a Roadster price is announced for the UAE, it will be a dirham price set by Tesla, which has historically included the costs of bringing the car in. The UAE applies 5% VAT to car purchases.
Tesla has not said whether UAE customers can reserve a Roadster locally or when Gulf deliveries would start. Check the reservation page from the UAE before sending money to the US site.
